DLA Piper has expanded its Corporate team in Perth via a strategic transfer, as Western Australia continues to drive the Australian economy amid the resources boom.
Corporate partner, Andrew Johnstone, (specialising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and contracts, and with a particular expertise in the oil and gas and transport sectors) has been joined by recently promoted special counsel, Andrew Crean.
Formerly based in DLA Piper's Melbourne office, Andrew has broad corporate transaction experience in both public and private treaty mergers & acquisitions, along with equity capital markets, contracts and corporate governance expertise. As part of his new role, he will work closely with the Perth Finance & Projects team, providing corporate expertise in connection with mining and other major projects.
Joint Asia Pacific Head of DLA Piper's Corporate practice, David Morris, said "The move reflects our aim to provide clients with seamless support across Australia and around the globe. An enhanced corporate capability in Perth is an important part of that full-service offering."
