DLA Piper is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Gold Standard Certification from the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) for the fifth year.
"It is an honor to once again be recognized by WILEF for our commitment to the advancement of women lawyers," said Lisa Haile, co-chair of DLA Piper's Leadership Alliance for Women (LAW) and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. "As we continue to grow as a firm, LAW has been one of our primary vehicles for helping develop women lawyers and maximizing opportunities for business generation and leadership."
Launched in 2006 in the US, LAW supports women lawyers by fostering internal networking, developing leadership skills and creating business development opportunities.
"We are proud of the various initiatives we've instituted and expanded through LAW and other programs across our global platform," said Stefanie Fogel, co-founder and co-chair of LAW and a partner in DLA Piper's Boston office. "Receiving this distinction from WILEF is very gratifying and we look forward to continuing to advance our efforts to support women lawyers throughout the firm."
WILEF honors firms with Gold Standard Certification based on objective criteria concerning the number of women among equity partners, in firm leadership positions and in the ranks of their most highly compensated partners. 2017 was the first year in which the diversity of women partners was also a factor in determining certification.
