Anne Geraghty Helms of DLA Piper named to Crain's Chicago Business Most Influential Women Lawyers list

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Anne Geraghty Helms, the firm's director and counsel for US pro bono programs, has been named to the Crain's Chicago Business Most Influential Women Lawyers in Chicago list.

The inaugural list honors 60 women attorneys for their impact on the community and the legal profession. Helms was recognized for her role in ensuring DLA Piper attorneys take on meaningful pro bono work. Under her guidance, lawyers in the firm's Chicago office contributed more than 20,000 pro bono hours last year to individuals and organizations in need of legal assistance.

Helms recently developed the Rolling Meadows Domestic Violence Help Desk, a new pro bono initiative that helps domestic violence survivors in suburban Chicago obtain protective orders. In addition to her work developing large- and small-scale pro bono projects, Helms also frequently represents pro bono clients herself.
