DLA Piper is pleased to announce that the firm has been recognized as a "Top Performer" by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) for the fifth consecutive year.
The council reserves its "Top Performer" designation for the member corporations and law firms that are most involved in its programs and most active in promoting its mission. DLA Piper is one of just six companies that have been recognized as Top Performers each year since 2013, when LCLD first began recognizing standout organizations. The firm participates in LCLD's Fellows program, as well as its Pathfinders and 1L Scholars programs and numerous mentoring programs.
"It is an honor to be recognized for our involvement in promoting LCLD's mission," said US co-managing partner Stasia Kelly, who serves on the board of LCLD. "The council’s programs are tremendously valuable to our lawyers, and we strongly believe that DLA Piper has a responsibility to actively contribute to the important goal of advancing a more diverse generation of attorneys through to the upper ranks of the profession."
LCLD, which is made up of more than 275 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners, aims to promote inclusiveness within organizations and help diverse lawyers rise to positions of leadership, with the goal of creating a more diverse US legal profession.
