Craig Waugh joins DLA Piper's Litigation practice in Phoenix

DLA Piper announced today that Craig Waugh has joined the firm's Litigation practice as a partner in Phoenix.

Waugh represents clients in a wide variety of complex commercial litigation, including prosecuting and defending claims in federal and state courts alleging violations of securities law and representing entities and individuals before the Securities and Exchange Commission, Arizona Securities Division and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Waugh also represents entities and their stakeholders in the context of buyouts, dissolution, fiduciary duty litigation, commercial lending disputes and actions involving unfair competition and other commercial tort claims.

“Craig brings an impressive background in commercial, financial and securities litigation, financial regulatory enforcement and government investigations,” said James Brogan, co-chair of DLA Piper’s US Litigation practice. “His skillset is an ideal strategic complement to our financial services and other litigation practice areas and will be immediately beneficial to a range of clients.”

“As we continue to expand the Litigation practice in the Southwest, Craig’s addition will strengthen our capabilities significantly,” said Mark Nadeau, co-managing partner of the firm’s Phoenix office. “His understanding of the needs of companies conducting business in the region, combined with the firm’s broad resources and platform, will be invaluable.”

Waugh, who joins from Polsinelli PC, received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from the University of Vermont.
