DLA Piper advises Alsea and its subsidiaries in a multi-jurisdictional debt renegotiation and refinancing

DLA Piper represented Alsea S.A.B. de C.V., a Mexico City-based operator of quick service restaurants, coffee shops and casual dining establishments in Latin America and Spain, and its subsidiaries in the renegotiation and refinancing of Alsea’s debt before Mexican and international banks.

The agreements reached with the financial institutions will allow Alsea to recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which led the food chain to massively suspend its operations.

The DLA Piper team representing Alsea included partners Xavier Mangino and Edgar Romo and associate Adolfo Obregon (all of Mexico City).

DLA Piper's Food and Beverage practice is a multi-disciplinary, multi-jurisdictional team focused on meeting the legal needs of the food and beverage industry. The firm represents a variety of clients, ranging from individuals and startups to large multinational corporations, operating at all stages of the food supply chain.
