DLA Piper Partner Danny Tobey appointed chairperson of AT&T Performing Arts Center Board of Directors

Danny Tobey, a partner in DLA Piper’s Litigation practice in Dallas, has been appointed Chair of the Board of Directors for the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

The AT&T Performing Arts Center is a nonprofit foundation that operates and programs a ten-acre campus comprised of three premier performance venues, two multi-form theaters and a park in Downtown Dallas. The center seeks “to provide a public gathering place that strengthens community and fosters creativity through the presentation of performing arts and arts education programs.”

In his new role, Tobey will serve a two-year term and work collaboratively with the staff and board to keep the center and the arts in Dallas moving forward. Tobey has also served on the board of several nonprofit organizations, including the Parkland Foundation, SPCA of Texas and the regional Anti-Defamation League. He has served on the center’s board since 2016.

In his legal practice, Tobey employs his unique background as a medical doctor and software entrepreneur to represent life sciences, technology and healthcare clients in a variety of regulatory and litigation matters involving FDA, CDC, HHS, CMS, private payers and tort and commercial litigants. He also leads the firm's team that assists companies navigating the legal landscape of emerging and disruptive technologies including AI and data science.
