DLA Piper partner Dean Fealk elected trustee of World Affairs

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Dean Fealk, managing partner of the firm’s San Francisco office, has been elected a trustee of World Affairs. 

Founded in 1947 following the San Francisco conference establishing the United Nations, World Affairs is an independent, non-partisan forum that remains one of the most vibrant global affairs organizations in the United States. By convening more than 150 programs annually, World Affairs engages thought leaders, change makers and citizens to share ideas, learn from each other and engage in conversations of public concern on global issues.

Fealk counsels clients ranging from innovative startups to industry-leading Fortune 100 companies on legal and strategic issues related to doing business internationally. He also advises government leaders and politicians around the world on public policy issues related to international trade, economics and security.

Active in business and civic leadership, Fealk is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He serves as chair for global strategy and innovation at the Halifax International Security Forum and past chair of the Northern California District Export Council, on the California Workforce Development Board, and on the board of directors of the Bay Area Council and the California Business Roundtable. He has been designated an honorary Senator of the German Economy, an Eisenhower Fellow to China, a Marshall Memorial Fellow to the EU, a Presidential Leadership Scholar and a Fulbright Scholar to Korea. Fealk is a graduate of Leadership San Francisco. The Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal selected Fealk for its list of California's "Top 75 Labor & Employment Lawyers."
