Rachel Albanese honored by Citizens Committee for New York City

Rachel Ehrlich Albanese, a partner in the New York office of DLA Piper and vice chair of DLA Piper's US Restructuring practice, was recently honored by Citizens Committee for New York City with an All In for New York City Award in recognition of her deep community involvement and efforts to promote social justice.

Citizens Committee for New York City is a micro-funding organization that provides support to community leaders on the front lines of change in their own neighborhoods.

Albanese has nearly 20 years of experience representing debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, equity holders, purchasers of distressed assets, and other parties in a wide range of restructuring matters, including cases under chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code, out-of-court workouts and cross-border insolvency proceedings, as well as in title III cases under PROMESA, Puerto Rico’s restructuring law. She is also active in pro bono matters and recently received a North American Pro Bono Award from DLA Piper for her efforts.
