DLA Piper Peru advises Banco BTG Pactual on a syndicated corporate financing granted to La Virgen S.A.C.

DLA Piper Peru advised Banco BTG Pactual, the biggest investment bank from Latin America, in a syndicated corporate financing granted to La Virgen S.A.C. (“La Virgen”) for a total of up to US$90 million, which will be used for working capital and the prepayment of loans, among other purposes. The loan is backed by a corporate guarantee granted by Alupar Brazil and governed by Brazilian laws.

La Virgen is a subsidiary of Alupar Brazil and holds, in compliance with Peru’s laws, the concession of La Virgen hydroelectric power plant project with a capacity for approximately 64 megawatts, located in Chanchamayo, Perú.
