Lee Alexander has more than 30 years of legal experience in the energy industry. He focuses his practice on federal regulatory and transactional energy issues.

Lee represents interstate natural gas pipelines and storage projects, natural gas and oil producers and marketers, local distribution companies, electric utilities and generators and oil pipelines and shippers. This representation involves proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and other US federal and state agencies. He also counsels clients with respect to transactional issues regarding the purchase, sale, transportation and storage of natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons. Lee’s current practice focuses extensively on the policy implications of natural gas and electric utility regulation by FERC for his diverse energy clients. His work extends to issues arising from the recent development of shale gas and oil production, all gas transportation pricing issues, including standards necessary to obtain approval to charge market-based rates, FERC's negotiated/recourse rate program and flexible pricing for short-term firm, interruptible and released capacity, as well as all industry operational and policy issues. He is a nationally recognized speaker on natural gas policy issues.

Lee has chaired conferences and appeared on panels on behalf of the American Gas Association, Energy Bar Association, Northeast Gas Markets, Inc., Washington Energy Affiliates, Executive Enterprises Institute, The Canadian Institute and the US-Canadian Energy Outlook.
