Anthony Ashton practices in the area of commercial, real estate and tort litigation.

Anthony represents individuals and local, national and multinational corporations in actions involving real estate disputes, regulatory actions, class actions, mass torts, consumer protection statutes, contract disputes, shareholders' rights and fiduciary duties of officers and directors. Anthony heads the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for the Firm's Baltimore offices and formerly served as the Chair of DLA Piper's African American/Black Affinity Group. In 2014, Anthony moderated a panel on the legal aspects of diversity in admissions policies at the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA) Annual Conference. In 2013, he was recognized by the National Association of the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) with the Champions of Justice award. In 2013, he was a visiting lecturer for a course in legal writing at the University of Zambia Law School.
