Frank Burch is chairman emeritus of DLA Piper. He helped lead the evolution of what was once Piper & Marbury, a regional firm based in Maryland with 250 lawyers, to DLA Piper, with lawyers in more than 30 countries and revenue of US$2.5 billion.

He was a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and was a member of the American Law Institute for many years while in active practice. 

Frank served in leadership positions at Johns Hopkins Medicine, The Johns Hopkins Hospital, The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, The Johns Hopkins Health System and The Johns Hopkins University. He was a director of the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity. He is past chairman of the board of the Greater Baltimore Committee, the University of Maryland School of Law and The Leadership of Greater Baltimore and has served on the boards of the Baltimore Museum of Art, Calvert School in Baltimore, Jemicy School, Dome Corporation, Equal Justice Works and C Wonder, a New York-based fashion company.
