About

Alexis Burgess represents clients in a wide variety of high-stakes litigation at the trial and appellate level. She has over a decade of experience litigating complex business disputes, consumer class actions, employment discrimination, and intellectual property claims. In particular, she has extensive experience handling sensitive matters involving entertainers and other high-profile individuals or corporations with their reputations on the line.

In recent years, Alexis has played a key role in defending a leading hospitality company in a nationwide docket of cases that test the boundaries of third-party liability for businesses that unwittingly provide services to human traffickers and their victims. Particularly in matters involving allegations of a more provocative nature, Alexis is known for her sharp and innovative analysis and strong but compassionate writing.

In addition to her other work, Alexis zealously advocates for pro bono clients in matters primarily relating to immigration, LGBTQ issues, and predatory business practices that exploit low income individuals.
