Camilo Cardozo focuses his practice on international arbitration and litigation and is co-chair of the International Arbitration Group.

His practices focuses on complex international disputes and is recognized as a leading international arbitration lawyer by Chambers Global, Chambers USA, Chambers Latin America and the Legal 500. Camilo has handled international arbitration matters under the various international arbitration rules, including AAA/ICDR, ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC and in a variety of forums, including the US, the UK and various countries in Latin America. Camilo also has substantial experience handling disputes under investment treaties and disputes related to large infrastructure projects.  

Camilo in addition represents clients before US state and federal courts in litigation related to arbitration issues, including the enforcement of awards, applications to obtain evidence in aid of arbitration and seeking preliminary relief.

Camilo plays an important role in DLA Piper's Latin America practice and in expanding DLA Piper's practice in both that region and in Spain. As an experienced New York litigator who also holds a law degree from a civil law jurisdiction in South America, he provides added value to the services that DLA Piper offers clients with disputes concerning civil law or Latin America.
