Zack's practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications before the US Patent and Trademark Office in various areas of technology, including software, mechanical, and electrical arts. He also provides litigation support on technical issues in patent infringement cases.

Zack previously worked at the Boston University Center for Space Physics on the development of solar simulators for testing solar panels on small satellites and at a multiphysics simulation software company. He has also researched areas in piezoelectric materials, energy harvesting, carbon nanotube electronics, conformal brain mapping, and vibration analysis.
