Sean Crain is a litigator who focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation in both state and federal courts throughout California.

Sean represents clients from a wide array of industries, including media, sports and entertainment, food and beverage, as well as industrial, manufacturing, and product-based businesses.  Sean has successfully defended a variety of single plaintiff and putative class action matters, including those alleging violations of the California Consumers Legal Remedies Act (California Civil Code section 1750, et seq.), California Unfair Competition Law (California Business & Professions Code section 17200), and California False Advertising Law (California Business & Professions Code section 17500).  Sean also has experience litigating matters alleging breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud-based claims, misappropriation of trade secrets, employment discrimination, and violations of Proposition 65.

Sean assists clients throughout the various stages of litigation, such as pre-trial discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and post-judgment proceedings.  Sean also provides advice and strategy on litigation prevention, alternative dispute resolution, and risk management.

Sean serves as a Los Angeles office representative on DLA Piper’s Associates’ Committee.
