Elan has first and second chair trial experience representing fiduciaries, corporations, executives, boards, funds, and financial institutions in proceedings before Federal and state courts throughout the country. In addition to private adversaries, Elan's matters frequently involve federal and state law enforcement agencies and regulators including the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Federal Trade Commission. 

In addition to his business dispute practice, Elan's experience includes litigating claims relating to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, OFAC sanctions, the False Claims Act, the Anti-Kickback Statute, the SEC and Exchange Acts, the FTC Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and various other anti-fraud and anti-bribery, foreclosure, and consumer protection laws.
