Jerald Hess practices in the areas of Energy and Litigation. His litigation practice includes representing clients in federal and state courts, before regulatory agencies and in arbitration proceedings. Much of Jerald's practice involves representing regulated entities before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and in proceedings before state utility commissions.

Jerald also counsels clients with respect to a wide array of commercial and transactional matters, including drafting and negotiating precedent agreements, transportation and storage agreements, supply and purchase agreements, interconnection and processing agreements, as well as in energy project development, finance and other transactional issues.

In addition Jerald has represented national and international clients in both criminal and civil government investigations on matters ranging from healthcare fraud and bribery allegations to market manipulation and violations of federal energy laws. Jerald also advises clients on compliance, risk management and litigation avoidance associated with the energy, healthcare and financial industries.
