Emma Holland

Patent Agent
About

Dr. Emma Holland is a Patent Agent with a Ph.D. in Chemistry.

Emma's practice is focused on patent prosecution for clients in chemistry, pharmaceuticals, advanced materials, industrial processing, water treatment, and related industries.

Emma earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Kentucky, where her research focused on the synthesis of small-molecule organic semiconductors. Through iterative synthesis of novel compounds coupled with proven crystal engineering techniques, Emma sought to identify structure-function relationships in small molecules in order to improve the performance of electronic and photonic devices. This work relied on strong synthetic skills as well as effective collaborations with colleagues in computational chemistry, physics, and device engineering.

Emma is not a lawyer.
