Patrick Hunnius, a former Chief of the Securities and Exchange Commission's Los Angeles Regional Office's Internet Branch, regularly represents individuals, funds, auditors and issuers in SEC, Department of Justice, FINRA and state securities regulators' inquiries.

Patrick has regularly represented parties (including issuers, funds and auditors) in SEC Enforcement investigations involving "fair value" accounting issues, and advises clients in connection with OCIE examinations, referrals to Enforcement and other compliance issues faced by registered entities.

He also has extensive experience conducting internal investigations, including investigations related to potential violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and financial fraud. Similarly, he has a wide range of experience in securities and complex business litigation, including defending clients in securities class actions and shareholder derivative actions.
