John Hamill is a highly regarded first chair trial and appellate lawyer based in the Chicago office.  He focuses on helping clients solve their most challenging problems throughout the field of sophisticated business and commercial litigation.  

John’s practice has covered trial and appellate courts and arbitral forums across the nation.  Subject matters of these disputes have ranged widely across the field of complex litigation, and include antitrust, healthcare, insurance, sports, telecommunications, professional responsibility, energy, and numerous types of general business-to-business litigation, including class actions. He regularly counsels clients in a wide range of antitrust and unfair competition matters. He has tried multiple civil rights cases for pro bono clients. 

John is a member of the Chicago Inn of Courts. He has served on the board of governors of the Seventh Circuit Bar Association and the board of directors of the Chicago chapter of the Federal Bar Association. He has taught antitrust law seminars at various forums and persuasive writing for advocates.
