Tara Lee is global chair of DLA Piper's Cross-Border Litigation practice, and with Senator George Mitchell, heads the firm’s Global Investigations practice. She is a leading trial litigator and investigations counsel in the United States.  

Tara has significant trial and appellate experience, and has represented a broad range of clients in cases involving contract and tort disputes, white collar and regulatory defense, government contracts litigation, anti-corruption matters and global investigations. Her investigations and litigation practice include some of the highest profile FCPA and qui tam investigations brought by the Department of Justice.

Tara has received numerous accolades recognizing her skills as a trial advocate. Chambers USA consistently ranks Tara among America's leading lawyers for business. In 2013, she was named a “Leading Lawyer” by Virginia Lawyer’s Weekly, recognized as one of the top Female Powerbrokers in Law by Law 360, and described by Chambers as “a really passionate advocate” who “fights for what the client wants.” In 2012 Chambers noted her "amazingly sharp mind" and said she "is praised by clients for 'laying out the pros and cons of a case well to someone who is not from a legal background.'"  Also in 2010, Congressional Quarterly described Tara as "an expert in transnational litigation."
