Patrick E. McCormick focuses his practice on defamation, corporate matters, labor and employment disputes, film financing, screen credit damages and confidentiality protections. His clients include performers, writers, producers, law firms and small studios and production companies.

Patrick has worked in the entertainment industry since 2003. Earlier in his career, he worked at the USC Intellectual Property and Technology Law Clinic, where he represented independent filmmakers in life rights negotiations, E&O insurance obtainment and fair use analysis, and participated in roundtables at the US Copyright Office, lobbying for orphan works reform. During his time at USC, Patrick also worked at NBCUniversal and Warner Bros. and with two prominent California law firms that focus on the entertainment industry.

Prior to attending law school, Patrick worked in film and television production and attended the New York Film Academy's Master of Fine Arts program.
