Richard McGrane is a highly experienced commercial litigator, with a particular focus on international dispute resolution and administrative and public law. He has practised extensively overseas, as well as in this country, and his experience includes appearances before numerous courts (first instance and appellate) and tribunals.

Richard has advised governments and state owned enterprises, as well as substantial organisations in the private sector. He has in particular been engaged on a wide variety of contract and commercial disputes resolved by international commercial arbitration (both ad hoc and under the different institutional rules), including proceedings under bilateral investment treaties. In the field of aviation law Richard has advised airlines, insurers, airport authorities, aircraft manufacturers and suppliers to the aviation industry. He also holds a commercial pilots licence, and has flown commercially.

Richard is a Recorder (a part-time Judge), sitting in the Crown Courts in England.
