Wendy Michael is Senior Counsel in DLA Piper's New York Litigation & Regulatory Group. Ms. Michael focuses on complex commercial and product liability litigation and has extensive experience representing corporate clients in complex commercial disputes and product liability litigation in state and federal courts nationwide, as well as in arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution arenas. Her practice also involves providing litigation and regulatory support to product manufacturers, particularly those in the tobacco, vaping and CBD/hemp industries. Wendy also has extensive experience in fact investigation and development of evidence in support of defense strategies in the product liability arena, and has experience supervising large e-discovery projects, including the collection, review and production of documents.

Wendy has handled commercial litigation in federal and state trial and appellate courts, successfully representing a large telecommunications company in a billion-dollar commercial dispute, a well-known lifestyle brand licensor in a dispute with a brand licensee, a former corporate officer in a federal court action alleging breach of fiduciary duty, a large corporate metal recycler in a commercial dispute arising from an asset purchase agreement, a corporate client in a commercial arbitration involving environmental and insurance coverage issues, and a residential real estate purchaser in a dispute involving a substantial real estate commission, which resulted in a clarification of New York law applicable to real estate brokers and potential clients. Ms. Michael is also a contributor to the firm's Cultivate blog, a source for legal insight from leading hemp and CBD lawyers.
