Kerry O'Neill helps clients build and protect their brands, in the US and internationally. Her practice focuses on trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, false advertising, digital media, anti-counterfeit, co-branding and the exploitation, enforcement, licensing and joint development of intellectual property.

Areas of Practice

Kerry counsels clients in fashion, retail, consumer products and new technologies on both domestic and foreign law issues specific to those industries. With experience both in commercial transactions and litigation, she has represented leading apparel, consumer products and media companies in a diverse range of matters. Kerry handles complex litigations at the state, federal and agency levels, and provides advice to her clients in a variety of areas relating to trademark portfolio management, licensing issues and branding strategy and IP transactions.

Kerry's background is in transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, equity financing, venture capital and general corporate governance issues. She has represented clients with respect to compliance counselling, commercial contracts, joint ventures, reporting and securities law compliance matters. Her previous experience also includes advising clients with respect to internal investigations and international trade compliance, including deterrence of violations of US and international anti-corruption laws, and counselling in federal and state regulatory compliance.
