Maria Rydder focuses her corporate practice in the area of emerging companies and venture capital and has experience advising companies on various legal and financial issues.

For emerging companies, Maria assists at all stages of their corporate life cycle. She regularly prepares formation paperwork, conducts diligence and corporate audits, facilitates equity and debt financings, and contemplates exit plans. Further, she acts as outside general counsel to her clients, offering guidance and advice on general corporate matters.

With respect to the venture capital side, Maria has negotiated term sheets, evaluated rights commensurate with value of investments and collaborated on co-investment strategies. She assists in every step of the way from prospective investment to the actual investment as well as to tie out any post-closing matters that may have been raised during diligence review. In addition, she works alongside her international colleagues in deals that involve international entities, particularly in Europe, to ensure a clean and controlled corporate governance.

Maria is involved in a broad range of industries, including technology, consumer, food and beverage, energy and entertainment. She has a passion for assisting female founders.
