About

Jody focuses her practice on business disputes, government investigations, white-collar litigation, and other complex litigation matters. Jody also has experience representing clients in healthcare litigation and in large class action and multidistrict litigation products liability cases. She has represented clients in state and federal courts and before a variety of regulatory and law enforcement agencies, including the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Jody also maintains a robust pro bono practice, representing individuals in post-conviction matters, asylum proceedings, and civil rights cases.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Jody served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Ursula Ungaro of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Jody earned her J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law, where she was Associate Managing Editor of the American University Law Review and practiced as a criminal defense student attorney.
