Cristina Torres has over a decade of experience representing and counseling clients on a wide range of employment matters. She has significant experience representing clients in high-stakes trade secret and unfair competition litigation. Cristina's practice also includes defending corporate clients against claims of  discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge and wage and hour violations.

Besides representing clients in various federal courts, Texas state courts and arbitration proceedings, Cristina also handles matters before various administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Texas Workforce Commission.

In addition to her extensive litigation background, Cristina advises employers on best employment practices, including on issues involving new hires, employee handbooks and policies, wage and hour compliance, employee leave matters and terminations. She also reviews and drafts non-competition, non-solicitation and non-disclosure agreements.

Furthermore, Cristina assists employers with developing and implementing litigation-avoidance strategies. In support of her advisory role, Cristina also conducts training sessions on various topics, including sexual harassment prevention and proper internal investigation procedures.
