  • Legal counsel to Xinfra Fibra E, in its first M&A transaction consisting in the acquisition of a majority stake in the Celaya Highway Project.
  • Legal counsel to Xinfra Fibra E in subsequent M&A transactions in the energy and infrastructure sector.
  • Legal counsel to American Tower Corporation in the sale of its local fibre optics subsidiary redIT to Mexican digital infrastructure provider Flō Networks.
  • Legal counsel to Patrial Investments in certain potential investments in Mexico.
  • Legal counsel to Cognita Schools in certain potential investments in Mexico. 
  • Legal counsel to the shareholders of Chocolates Turin in the sale of 100% of their shares in such company to Mars Inc.
  • Legal counsel to the world's second largest processor and marketer of chicken, beef and pork, in its sale of its Mexican subsidiary.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Mauricio was a partner of an international firm, where he was a member of the M&A LatAm group. Mauricio also worked as a foreign associate at an important firm in New York; where he participated in various complex M&A and private equity transactions involving target companies in Europe and Latin America.

Mauricio also teaches the course "Transactional Approach to Mergers & Acquisitions" at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
