Dennis Williams focus is on healthcare transactional, regulatory and enforcement matters. He most often represents healthcare clients in structuring and negotiating mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliations, compliance matters and investigations, employment and consulting arrangements contractual, corporate, regulatory, real estate and risk management legal issues in healthcare. Dennis has also developed and implementation of HIPAA policies and compliance programs for various sized clients.

He regularly advises clients on federal and state fraud, including Stark, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, state anti-referral laws and related regulatory issues. Dennis is experienced in federal and state healthcare regulatory and licensure, enrolment and reimbursement matters.

Dennis engages and provides legal counsel to private equity funds, venture capital, emerging growth companies, hospitals, physician group practices, ambulatory surgery centers, urgent care centers, pharmacies, home healthcare agencies, revenue cycle management companies, medical device companies, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospice, payors, home health, ambulatory facilities, physicians, dentists, telemedicine and other healthcare providers and entities. These engagements have ranged from mergers and acquisitions of healthcare entities, compliance, contractual, corporate, regulatory, employment-related, real estate and risk management legal issues in healthcare. Dennis has also developed and implementation of HIPAA policies and compliance programs for various sized clients.

Dennis began his professional career in health care as a registered nurse at New York Presbyterian, Weill Cornell Medical Center, William Randolph Hearst, Burn Intensive Care Unit. In addition to the world renowned Burn ICU, Dennis actively engaged in critical care  ICU’s and other medical units within the hospital.

Dennis actively participates in pro bono activities including as legal counsel to the multiple not-for-profit organizations. Dennis has a strong passion for working with healthcare organizations that assist those in need, which he has done from his time as an ICU nurse and continues today through his pro bono and charity involvement.
