Charley Wayne has a wide-ranging trial and appellate practice that includes both civil and white collar criminal matters.
In his civil practice, he has litigated many types of business disputes, with a particular emphasis on employee misconduct, including violation of noncompetition and nonsolicitation agreements, theft of trade secrets and Sarbanes-Oxley whistleblower litigation at all levels of the administrative and federal court processes.
In his criminal practice, Charley has represented clients charged with or under investigation for violations of a variety of federal and other statutes and regulations. These matters include securities fraud, RICO, mail and wire fraud, public corruption, money laundering, export regulations, and contempt. He has conducted internal corporate investigations and has litigated a number of issues relating to the federal sentencing guidelines.
Charley also has extensive experience in the areas of (1) professional liability, particularly in cases involving allegations of malpractice against lawyers, accountants, insurance brokers, and actuaries; and (2) sexual misconduct proceedings conducted by colleges and universities, and related litigation.
