Sydney White's practice includes global representation of large telecommunications, technology, e-commerce and media companies on policy issues pending before Congress and Federal regulatory agencies. 

Sydney provides clients with strategic advice with regard to competition, market entry and regulatory compliance on telecommunications, cable, broadband, wireless, network access, cybersecurity, privacy, data security and Internet intermediary liability issues.

Sydney counsels clients on significant investments in merger and acquisitions involving communications and media companies, including necessary regulatory approvals by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and other federal agencies at times in coordination with international teams. She also advises clients on wireline, undersea cable and wireless/spectrum licensing and other compliance related matters.

Sydney has negotiated inter-industry consensus and built coalitions on controversial data security, privacy, cybersecurity and technology-related issues pending before Congress and the Administration.

Sydney has also managed nationwide initiatives related to a broad spectrum of cable competition and franchising issues. She has drafted and negotiated cable franchise agreements, cable ordinances, precedent setting programming agreements and procurement and employment agreements on behalf of telecommunications companies.
