DLA Piper advised UK speciality company, Croda International Plc, on its acquisition of Finnish technology company IonPhasE Oy.
IonPhasE is a leading manufacturer of static dissipative polymer additives commonly known as permanent antistatic additives. IonPhase products help prevent damage to electrical components, increase the safety of chemical and food packaging, and improve the long-term appearance of consumer appliances.
The acquisition supports Croda’s growth strategy within high technology, consumer driven markets. The takeover will also allow Croda to meet the demand for polymer additives that control static electricity in automotive parts, household appliances, personal electronic devices and other sensitive components.
