Andrzej Balicki Ph.D.

Andrzej Balicki has more than 20 years of experience in advising clients from the life sciences sector (and related sectors) on regulatory and commercial issues.

He provides legal support to pharmaceutical companies, producers of medical devices, biotechnology companies, and healthcare service providers. He has an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the pharmaceutical business, including marketing, distribution, manufacturing, clinical trials, promotion and advertising, pricing and reimbursement, as well as AI healthtech solutions based on medical devices. He has advised on agreements between healthcare providers and the National Health Fund, including those involving reimbursement proceedings, and on other agreements related to the healthcare sector, including agreements concluded by healthcare providers, healthcare professionals, and pharmacies.

Andrzej participates in the regulatory work of public bodies, including working groups at the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, the Ministry of Health, and the Parliamentary Subcommittee on Public Health. He has extensive experience in reimbursement negotiations with the Ministry of Health in relation to medicinal products and medical devices. He is a member of the Experts Council at The Polish Council for Supplements and Nutritional Foods (KRSiO). Andrzej is a regular speaker at conferences on healthcare law and has authored a number of publications. He is also the co-author of the first commentary on the Polish Food Law (Wolters Kluwer, 2013) and the first Polish commentary on Regulation (EC) No. 1924/2006 on nutrition and health claims (Wolters Kluwer, 2015).

He is the main speaker at the “Pharmaceutical Law Academy” for law students at the University of Warsaw.
