Bryony Widdup is a finance and fintech lawyer, with over 15 years' experience advising on fundraising solutions in the financial services sector.

Bryony is skilled in transaction structuring, in finance for funds, broader lending platforms (including blockchain-based offerings) and digital assets including token structuring and issuance. She is passionate about sustainable finance and investment solutions, including green, social and sustainability-linked instruments, transition finance and impact investing.

During her career, Bryony has spent time working in-house at a major European bank as well as in private practice. She works for investment managers and advisors, sponsors, founders and asset managers . Recently, she has focused on ESG-related issues including sustainable finance and investments, advising clients across a range of matters and products in this space, with particular interests in net zero transition, scaling capital flows for climate change mitigation and adaptation purposes, connecting ESG-related finance and investments with impact, and with digital assets use cases from a sustainability and ESG perspective.

Bryony leads the fund finance team at DLA Piper in London and regularly writes articles and speaks on relevant topics. She is a member of the Advisory Council for Global Digital Finance, co-chairing the Stablecoin and Digital Assets ESG working groups and is the sustainability and ESG lead for the financial services sector at the firm.
