Webinar: international cybersecurity standards - practical applications for growing corporate value

12 SEPT 2016
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM (UTC-05:00)

In today's interconnected world, products, processes, and services are delivered through global supply chains, but, for acquirers, the process may afford scant transparency into supplier cybersecurity practices beyond the prime contractor. Failure at any link in the chain to cleave to the standards may pose a threat to end users and acquirers.

Moreover, many companies are coming to understand that compliance with international cybersecurity standards gives them a competitive edge. For instance, firms may be able to gain an advantage by being first to market with a standards-based product, process, or service.

DLA Piper's Cybersecurity practice hosted a webinar on the practical implications of international cybersecurity standards.

Our speakers included representatives of the United States and Canada from the International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission’s expert subcommittee on information technology security standards (SC27). They shared insights on why and how to use international standards to increase corporate value.
