DLA Piper receives pro bono award from Ayuda

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that the firm has received a 2021 Pro Bono Impact Award from Ayuda, a nonprofit that offers legal, social and language services to low-income immigrants.

The award recognizes DLA Piper’s “special and significant contribution” to Ayuda’s legal pro bono program in the past year, as well as the firm’s “staunch commitment to Ayuda’s mission and clients through extraordinary pro bono representation as part of Ayuda’s pro bono program.”

“We are honored to support Ayuda’s work to provide immigrants with access to justice and help them navigate the complex US immigration and justice systems,” said Lisa Dewey, DLA Piper’s pro bono partner and director of New Perimeter, the firm’s non-profit affiliate that provides long-term pro bono support in underserved regions around the world. “Ayuda’s exceptional pro bono program serves hundreds of clients each year, and we look forward to continuing to work with them to advance the rights of vulnerable immigrants.”
