Amanda Pilkington advises private and public sector clients on a wide range of sourcing, IT and commercial matters across a wide range of industry sectors with a particular focus on retail, financial services and technology sectors. 

Her diverse experience includes negotiating complex IT-centric, networks, desktop and business process outsourcings both onshore and offshore, negotiating software implementation, licensing and support agreements including large scale ERP deployment and integration projects.

Telecoms experience includes advising on terrestrial and subsea cable infrastructure projects, MVNO and cable capacity agreements for international telecoms providers.

EXPERIENCE

  • Currently advising a public sector client on a high profile project to establish a new multi-tower IT contracting structure to streamline and improve delivery of IT services across the organisation
  • Advising a leading international financial institution on multi-million pound outsourcing projects including; learning outsourcing project, global staff vetting project and a recruitment process outsourcing project
  • Acting for the Cabinet Office on the £1 billion Independent Shared Service Centre 2 Project. The project involved the establishment of a physical and virtual shared service centre via the amalgamation of existing service centres and a business process outsourcing to the selected third party provider. Key to the establishment of the shared service centre was the development of an integrated ERP platform. Amanda led the team responsible for the transition arrangements and provided strategic advice in relation to the establishment of a single integrated ERP operating platform
  • Advising a global travel company on the outsourcing of its desktop and network services across the UK, Western and Central Europe. During the project, I lead one of the parallel negotiation streams with a leading international IT provider
  • Lead fee earner advising a central government department on the renegotiation of its SIAM, Hosting, Application Development and Maintenance contracts with the incumbent provider, estimated value in excess of £400 million
