Taylor Sorilla

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Taylor served two years as a judicial law clerk to Chief Judge D. Price Marshall, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. During her clerkship, Taylor had the opportunity to work on complex civil and criminal matters, including class actions, contract disputes, and securities violations.

Taylor earned her J.D. from The University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude and was recognized as a recipient of the Honorable David S. Kennedy Bankruptcy Achievement Award, the Dean’s Distinguished Service Award, and the Dean’s Distinguished Pro Bono Award.  While in law school, Taylor served as a part-time judicial law clerk to the Honorable James Russell of Shelby County Circuit Court, Division II and a judicial extern to the Honorable Bernice B. Donald of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. She was also an Academic Success Dean’s Fellow, an Associate Justice on the Moot Court Executive Board, and a member of The University of Memphis Law Review.  Taylor earned her B.A. in political science, with minors in Spanish and International Studies from Rhodes College.
