Malaika Pervez

About

Malaika Pervez maintains a litigation, arbitration and investigations practice with a growing interest in regulatory and health law. She draws on a strong foundation of legal research and public policy experience to support clients across a wide range of industries.

Malaika has worked with public and private sector clients through her roles as Legal Intern at Windsor Regional Hospital, and as an Extern to the Michigan Department of Attorney General. She has assisted on matters involving civil rights, election law, and healthcare privacy compliance, and has experience supporting dispute resolution, drafting legal memoranda, and managing regulatory research and documentation. 

Malaika earned her Dual J.D. from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy. She was awarded the Stewart Lysaght Dual J.D. Award for exceptional students and received the Book Award in Constitutional Law. Before law school, Malaika worked as an Outreach Advisor to the Leader of the Party at Queens ‎Park. 

Prior to joining DLA Piper as an associate, she summered and articled with the firm.
