DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes Partner Jerritt R. Pawlyk

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP is pleased to announce that Jerritt R. Pawlyk has joined the firm as a Partner in the Edmonton office. Jerritt has a restructuring and insolvency practice and is an experienced advocate and ‎advisor for ‎clients across many industries, in particular the real estate and real estate finance sector. ‎

With over 15 years representing clients in all aspects of the insolvency process, Jerritt has acted ‎extensively for lenders, distressed companies, receivers, creditors, ‎trustees, monitors and other ‎professionals in all types of proceedings. In particular, Jerritt has gained a ‎unique understanding of the restructuring ‎of real estate projects and companies, including creative uses of ‎the Companies’ ‎Creditors Arrangements Act to achieve favourable results for his clients. In addition to his restructuring work, Jerritt also advises on builders’ liens and other ‎construction related ‎issues, as well as commercial litigation, especially when these ‎issues intersect with Insolvency. ‎

Jerritt joins us from an Alberta-based full-service firm where he was Partner for a number of years.
