Earlier in his career, Dean served as a consultant to the World Bank and taught as an adjunct professor or guest lecturer at law schools in the US and abroad. While in law school, Dean was the first US citizen to clerk at the Constitutional Court of Korea. He also externed for Chief Federal District Judge Bernard A.
