Augmented reality and virtual reality: IP considerations
The augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) market forecast for 2019 is $16.8 billion and is expected to expand dramatically in the coming years, with market forecasts for 2023 eclipsing $160 billion. As new AR and VR technologies emerge, so do legal questions arising from their use. This article by Tom K. On September 10, 2019, we co-hosted our third Labor and Employment Global Law Forum in collaboration with Herzog, Fox & Neeman (HFN) and the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) in HFN’s conference center in Tel Aviv. We were privileged to host 11 of our senior employment colleagues from around the globe, including Evan Parness from the United States, Vinita Arora from the UK, Kai Bodenstedt from Germany, Bijan Eghbal from France, Fabrizio Morelli and Pasquale Siciliani from Italy, Helen Bogaard and Jasper de Bok from the Netherlands, Johnny Choi from China, Pilar Menor from Spain and Helen Colquhoun from Hong Kong. The program focused on crucial insights in employment and labor law issues in Israel and around the globe. On September 16, 2019, we hosted the eighth installment of our roundtable series in collaboration with PwC Israel – “Doing Business Globally” – with a breakfast discussion on the legal and tax issues that arise when investing in Luxembourg. We were privileged to hear from our colleagues Olivier Reisch, Laurent Massinon, Ambroise Foerster and David Alexandre from our Luxembourg office, Itai Horstock from the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office, and David Foy, from the Digital Economy Luxinnovation.
