ISO 14001 CERTIFICATION IN CHILE
In 2022, DLA Piper in Chile received ISO 14001 certification, an international standard for designing and implementing an environmental management system (EMS).
To gain certification we implemented several sustainability measures in our offices, such as providing recycling points for cardboard, paper, glass, cans, plastic, and batteries; encouraging the use of reusable cups and bags; implementing rules for the proper use of electricity and water; donation of computer equipment and office supplies for reuse; among others.
The certification, which was granted by the global certification organization NQA, highlights the high standards of DLA Piper Chile and our associated activities. We continually work to exceed standards set by ISO 14001, as ongoing improvement remains a priority for the firm.

PURSUING JUSTICE AND SOCIAL CHANGE
Around the world, many people and communities face barriers to justice. Through our pro bono work, we help children, asylum seekers, refugees and other under-served groups get the legal support, access to justice and fair treatment they need and deserve.
We also give free advice to nonprofits, UN agencies, intergovernmental organizations and social enterprises. This allows them to focus on their missions and key objectives. And we support social and economic development, sound legal institutions and women's advancement in under-resourced regions.
