DLA Piper Austria promotes Ekaterina Larens to its partnership in Vienna
DLA Piper is expanding its Corporate Group in Austria with the promotion of Ekaterina Larens to partner, effective from 1 May 2024.
Ekaterina joined the firm's Vienna office in 2019. Prior to that, she worked in a Magic Circle law firm as a senior associate in the Corporate/M&A team. She has many years of experience in representing and advising private equity and public investors, investment banks, venture capital companies, technology companies, pharmaceutical companies, developers and construction companies. In addition to M&A transactions, she also advises on complex transactions in the real estate and life sciences sectors as well as on employment law and IP transactions. Her focus is on structuring and implementing complex cross-border transactions in Europe and the CIS region, in particular supporting clients with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, options and by providing regulatory advice. As DLA Piper Head of Legal Tech Austria, she is also responsible for leveraging technology to optimise internal legal processes as well as the services offered to the firm's clients.
Dr. Christoph Mager, Country Managing Partner at DLA Piper Austria: ‘We are delighted to promote Ekaterina to partner. Since joining the firm she has championed our firm's values and culture whilst providing clients with sound legal counsel. Her promotion means that more than half of our equity partners in Corporate/M&A are female. This is unique amongst law firms in Vienna, and highlights our commitment to diversity and inclusivity.”
Ekaterina Larens, partner, Corporate practice, DLA Piper Austria: “As a partner at DLA Piper, I am at the forefront of legal innovation, being driven by a passion for client-centricity and delivery of tailored legal solutions that exceed client’s expectations. I am grateful for the support of my colleagues and mentors who have guided me on this transformative journey, and I am eager to continue making meaningful contributions to the legal community and beyond.”
