The Procurement Bill becomes an Act: What you need to know about the new procurement regime - Webinar

15 November 2023, 13:00 – 14:00 GMT, online

The Procurement Bill will have major impact on public contracts for contracting authorities and private companies alike. The Bill which will shortly receive Royal Assent introduces a new regime for public procurement in the UK. Our webinar on 15 November provides an update on the Bill's key provisions, highlighting the differences from the existing regime and setting out the potential impacts for the public and private sectors. We will look at:

  • Routes to market
  • Contract management, including changes to contracts
  • Transparency requirements
  • Exclusions and debarment

This Bill will make significant changes to the way public sector contracts are procured and managed. It introduces important changes to notice and publication requirements. Most significantly, the Bill makes it easier for contracting authorities to exclude poorly performing suppliers from procurements, debar them from future competitions and terminate their existing contracts. Understanding the features of this legislation is vital for public sector bodies and suppliers that do business with the public sector.
