About

Stephan has longstanding experience in all aspects of Austrian employment law. He joined the Employment group of DLA Piper in Austria in 2007 and heads the group since 2012.

Stephan has a “hands-on” approach to find the best solutions for the clients in the most cost-effective way. 

He regularly advises clients on day-to-day employment law queries, employment contracts, termination issues, negotiation of agreements with work councils, including agreements on social plans, as well as on all aspects of collective employment law and social law in Austria.
 
He has in-depth understanding of all areas of Austrian employment law and represents clients in employment law litigation in courts as well with authorities.

Prior Experience

Before cooperation with DLA Piper, Stephan was a special advisor for EU and International Matters at the Ministry of Transport, Innovation & Technology. Following his graduation in 2003, he also worked as a University Assistant at the Institute for Austrian and European Public Law of the University of Graz.
