Mei Mei Wong advises on complex, cross-border and high value debt finance transactions with extensive experience on acquisition financing, fund financing (including capital call/subscription line facilities, asset backed/NAV-based facilities, preferred equity, hybrid facilities, GP facilities and co-invest facilities), back-leverage (including loan on loan financings) and corporate lending.

Mei Mei Wong represents DLA Piper on the LMA Fund Finance Documentation and Guidance Working Group. In this capacity she collaborates with other market leaders to facilitate the establishment of best practice guidelines. Mei Mei Wong also represents DLA Piper on the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council Back Leverage Forum.

Her clients include investment funds, multinational corporates, financial institutions and alternative credit providers.

  • Advising a Global Investment Manager with over USD800bn AUM on its EUR150m capital call facility to facilitate its European direct lending strategy.
  • Advising a UK Infrastructure and Real Estate Investment Manager with circa GBP220bn AUM on its GPB75m NAV facility.
  • Advising an Asian Private Equity Fund with circa USD11bn AUM on its USD195bn subscription line facility.
  • Advising Harrison Street on its acquisition of a majority stake in RoundShield Partners, a leading European credit investment manager with USD5.4bn AUM.
